Dhoni vs Kristen. Whose contribution is more?

Dhoni is being talked about for his captaincy and victories that come along. Kristen has taken over as coach and lots of success has come during his tenure. He is a behind the scene man who does not come to the the forefront and show his face when there is a success. he lets the success rates talk for him. Even Shewag has openly said that "I am improving and staying at the wicket for a longer period of time, all thanks to our coach who is spending a lot of time with me. That has given me confidence". So who do you think has greater contribution to the victories in the recent period of time? Is it Dhoni or Kristen or Team a a whole?

We shud always take it as a team's success not as individual's effort especially when it comes to areas like sports. Both of them did their duties well with their young boys and emerged successful. I'm really not able to view them as seperate entites. They come as a package. A good team representing a our country

But I don't think it is a good thing to compare between coach and the captain of a team. They both have different roles to play and so they are good at their respective positions. The coach has the definite rule of kiting the players whereas the captain is the leader of the team. He handles them on the field and he knows whom to use and went to use when the game is going on. Coach can always suggest to the captain what can be 10 and what are the options available. But he can never take the decisions which the captain has to take on field. And this is the reason why I think it is better that the comparison is not done between those two.

I think both have. In team's success, the role of the coach is no less. it is true for him as well. but on filed captaincy is also good in case of Dhoni.

Cricket is a team game and it involves all the team to work simultaneously without any conflicts.Indian team is doing well because both the coach captain and players are working well in tandem.

Major contribution is from Dhoni since he is leading from the front end. If a captain leads from the front automatically the team plays better. The confidence of other players also increases.
