I like bananas (even though I shouldn't have them) mashed, walnuts chopped, and toasted oats for a full meal experience for breakfast. I like chopped and mashed cucumbers and yogurt for lunch stuffed into a pita. Yogurt and a package of dried onion soup plus fresh veggies like carrots, celery, and broccoli are good for supper. What are your favorite things to add to yogurt?

I guess I am a little boring with my yogurt!
hehe I often just eat it plain, but sometimes I really like to add granola to it. That makes a nice snack or breakfast. I have also put chocolate chips or a little chocolate syrup in yogurt to have it as a dessert. I have heard of putting jam in yogurt also, but I have never tried it before! I'm glad somebody else mentioned that here, cause it sounds tasty!

I have to have fruit in my yogurt, the little containers that you buy at the store, i get either fruit or the ones that says Boston Creme Pie, or Strawberry Shortcakem or fruit like blueberries I like the best. I'm not much a fruit person maybe some bananas, straweries, blueberries but that is it. As far as plain yogurt, I can't take that just plain.

Thanks for the tip, I never thought about putting jam in it, and yes it is higher, but I rarely buy it unless it is really a good sale, just never could get into it that much. I know it is good for you, the jam might make it to where I could eat it. Thank you

That's why I'm asking people what they put in their plain yogurt. It's way cheaper to buy a big tub of plain and put something different in it every day. The stuff you buy with everything in it usually is full of sugar and sometimes higher in sodium. But with plain yogurt, that I never eat plain, I can do all kinds of things with it and be cheaper. Those little containers are costing a lot these days. I think you would like some of the ideas here like the strawberry jam, etc. I like yogurt, but unless it's for desert, I don't like that much sugar in it. Take care

I usually add fresh berries to mine because I have strawberry and a variety of raspberry/blackberry bushes..But the cucumber and fresh veggies sound wonderful, maybe not for breakfast, but as an afternoon snack..Thanks for sharing this, I will try that next time I have those ingredients..

Our summer wasn't all that hot this year either, but we also had no rain and I didn't think to water the berry plants because I was so concerned about my hedges dying, that is all I watered up until early fall...

I sooo hope we get enough fresh berries next year for that. We had so much rain and such cool weather, we had next to nothing for anything this year. Just a few really bad off apples. Take care and happy berries and yogurt.

I love it with cucumbers. Haven't tried it with pickles. I think pickled veggies might be interesting. Never had it with rice, but I bet it is good. Have to try that some time. Take care

Gosh those are some interesting ideas for yogurt! I usually just eat yogurt for breakfast occasionally. I like to add cut-up strawberries, apples, pears, or peaches. If I'm really hungry, I'll sprinkle in some cereal like one of the Chex cereals or Smart Start.

I like to try different types of granola. My favorite so far was a hazelnut granola, and a raspberry almond one was quite good as well. I also like to add different fruit with the granola, kinda like the yogurt parfaits they have at McDonald's and Tim Horton's.

I think hazelnut granola would be fabulous! Raspberry almond sounds good, too. We don't have a Tim Hortons up here. Isn't the yogurt at McD's unbelievably smooth and creamy? Wonder how they make it.
