Are you a multitasker? Or are you a one trick pony?

I've seen the images of some individuals that absolutely love to multitask! Unfortunately I am not one of them! Oh, don't get me wrong, I love to organise my to do lists and everytime I have completed a task, I tick it off! However, in the city for example, you see these traders, how they're screaming and yelling at eachother, a phone glued to their right ear, anther phone glued to their left ear! Wow! How do they do it? If I had to do that I would literally be pulling my hair out! I guess I concentrate on one task at a time and I concentrate on getting that task completed, I devote one hundred per cent to this! So, are you a multitasker? Can you swim through the world of chaos? Andrew

Well, first of all, I'm a woman. Of course I can multitask! :) Our brains are literally wired differently from those of men's. I'm sure some men can multitask as well, but, it's not too common. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I guess I could multi-task myself although I prefer concentrating on getting one thing completed at a time, my mind is not split in two then!! Andrew

That's a job in itself, I admire you. I guess I'm not that good at multitasking although my computer is excellent at this so I will just let my computer handle the big stuff! Andrew

Haha. I so can not multitask well. I think even people that do multitask all the time are really losing value in their work. It usually works out much better if you can just concentrate on one thing and focus. At the same time, I'm easily distracted. So in a way, I always multitask, because I'm always doing something and also daydreaming at the same time. Though sometimes, I'm just daydreaming, and I guess I'm not multitasking then unless you're going to count like breathing, living, etc. In that case, I would hope that all of us are constantly multitasking all the time!

Multitasking can be a difficult thing, as you say, you are not concentrating fully on the task at hand. Now, computers are good at multitasking so I say, let's leave the hard work to them! Andrew
