After you boil water for cooking what do you do with it? I usually just dump it down the drain. But why? If I have old water sitting in a glass I'll use it to water the plants. So I might as well recycle the boiled water too. What do you do with your leftover boiled water?

I use the microwave to heat up left overs, the only boiling water I have left over is for pasta, some of that I use in the sauce but I must say that the rest goes down the drain. I'll have to rethink that. Thanks

I never got this idea. But it was good. Some times I use my boiled water to clean my dishes there by we can clean them easily. From now onwards I prefer to use for plants then they can be some what nutritious.

We used to re-cycle water in Rhodesia when it got a bit short. I had a system where all the 'grey' water was saved for the garden and for flushing the loos. So that was all waste water except the foul water in the loos. Ok, we saved a lot of water but the smell was terrible! All that soapy water on the garden really stank in the sun. If I had to do it for many years I would have built a filter system.

Good thought, very green. Honestly I have never really thought about it, but I could certainly see my self using the leftovers for plant or something like that, as long as they have not been tainted by the food itself. Currently, I would dump them down the drain. I think you may have helped to change my mind. Thanks!
