Let's see if the whiz kid Nate Silver gets this one right! He's certainly been accurate so far with the Presidential election and the Alaska Senate race! http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/projection-franken-to-win-recount-by-27.html Any thoughts on this? It seems this guy is like the character on "Numbers". He's got it all figured out and has been incredibly accurate this year. I HOPE he's right with this one! Annie

A stolen election by a lying sack of penguin feces. Anyone with a brain watched this has been of comedy still this election. Anyone who didn't see it just didn't WANT to see it. The people of Minnesota have been robbed by an anti feedom, anti constitutional scam. It's really sad, Al Franken used to be a comedy genius. Now he's just a criminal hoping to abuse the govenment to steel freedom. To piss on him would be an insult to the piss.

Since I'm far away from Minnesota I haven't had the opportunity to watch this election all that closely, I'll admit that. Up until election day I'd just hear now and then how the polls were going same as with other highly contested states. I'm interested in how Franken is a "criminal"? Yes, he's very liberal, I'm not denying that, but how is he a criminal? Is it not a law in Minnesota for there to be a recount if the vote is within a certain margin? I'm sorry to disappoint you, Ted, but I don't consider myself to be in "goose-step" with the DNC but I am fairly liberal on most issues so I usually do support the more liberal candidate. I've always liked Franken, first as a comedian then as a writer and I've seen him on various TV shows and liked much of what he's had to say. I'm sure I don't know everything there is to know about him so maybe those in Minnesota who didn't vote for him had their reasons. I do know that from what I've seen of Coleman, I'm not impressed. He's not the worst Republican in the Senate but there are plenty I can deal with much better...lol! Annie

No, the closeness of the race absolutely warrants a recount, but when "ballots" are found in the trunks of cars, and when 500 ballots in a bunch are almost all for Franken.... it means crimes have been committed. When Franken knowingly goes along with it, he is a criminal.

So if he does win by 27 votes in the recount, shouldn't he STILL lose? I mean, Norm Coleman won by around 250 votes in the first count. If you average the two together he still wins by over 200 votes. Who's to say the second recount means MORE than the first. At the very least they should be judged equally and lead to a third recount for a best two out of three situation. Either way I have faith Coleman will win. The last thing we need is a hateful left wing extremist like Franken holding political office.

There's a big difference between the first count and the recount - the first one was done by a machine and the recount is being done by hand. Having worked for the Postal Service and seen the difference between mail sorted by hand and by machine, I'll take that done by hand anytime! Why do you call Franken a "hateful" left wing extremist? It seems to me it's the right wing extremists who do the most hating. They're the ones who seem to think compassion for one's fellow human beings is something to be made fun of. Annie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJGAWT90Xl4 It was when he ran against triple amputee Max Cleland. At the time John McCain called it "beyond reprehensible. It's disgusting" but now he's campaigning in Georgia for Chambliss. Annie

Well call me crazy, but I think it's pretty hateful, to make jokes about helping al Quaeda KILL the president. In fact it's downright disgusting, but hey, he's a liberal so I guess that makes it ok. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loVTU-ASWZA And there's his other spectacular behavior. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fb876zkE-eE&feature=related

Maybe by Christmas? There's this one in Minnesota and the run-off in Georgia. Princess Sarah is campaigning for the Republican guy in Georgia which if I lived there I'd hope that would be a curse...lol! Annie

Interesting and awesome. I'm too lazy to read the whole article, but I am a fan of his number crunching. Also a fan of Franken.
