I have been reformating drive long time now, before i have absolutely no idea or know anything about computers, until my beloved parents gave me a PC. And i was so curios about what's inside the CPU, so i took a screw driver and start remving the cpu case. Then as time goes by i started to learn what each hardware inside the cpu works. Then one day i bought a Windows 98 CD (final release), "that was before

For me I was able to learn from a good friend. At first, I always call him to fix my PC whenever there is problem. But later he encourage me to do it on my own because sometimes he is not available. So whenever he is fixing my computer, he teaches me the procedures. Then by the time I have problems with my PC, I do my best to fix it. After several times of fixing, I was able to enhance my skills with more advance troubleshooting. When I opened my computer shop, it was really a great advantage since I don't have to ask for a technician to fix any of my computers. It is really important that when you have your own PC, you must at least learn how to fix problems of your PC. It will save you a lot of money.

Well yes I have my own computer shop but already closed 1 year ago since it is no longer profitable in my place. Right now I am concentrating with home based work and I still have 2 desktop and 1 laptop. I am really thankful that I was able to gain expertise in computer repair not only that I can fix my own PC but it is also a good way to earn extra money. Right now I also accept computer repair and assembly services.

It's very good for you to explore the computer by yourself. Some of my friends explore the computer by themselves, and they really learn a lot from inside to outside of the computer. Well, I didn't learn all these by myself, I actually learn it from my friends. They used to help me to repair my computer and reformat my harddisk, then they taught me how to do, then slowly I'll do it by myself. But I do not really have interest in computer hardware, so I always forgot what my friends taught me.

For the most part I can do it on my own but Hubby usually walks me through it. He's really good at doing that sort of thing. You sound a lot like me in that I just do the whole trial and error thing to learn how things work. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

My older sister is a Computer Science graduate and also attend class on trouble shooting. I've love learning new things about computers. She's the one who taught me how to reformat a computer and make some changes or upgrading. It's not that hard to learn and can save you a lot of money if you know how to repair a computer.

You were very brave to do all that by yourself! I don't think I would have had the courage to do that! However, I recently completed a course in Computer Maintenance and Installation and now I do all my own computer maintenance, I take things apart, look at the inside and everything else that goes with that. I just love computers and I'm looking to take on some customers as well! I continue to read about computer maintenance, I feel that constant reading is important as things are always changing in IT.
