desktop or laptop?

i am about to replace my PC with a new desktop but my brother suggested, a laptop would be nicer because it is handly easy to use and trendy but i said for a desktop it is easier to replace some parts in case of damaged or malfunction and it goes with wide screen LCD, any suggestion?

I think desktop is much better than laptop...but its depend on your invironment of life..if u are student then u should choose laptop because its easy to bring everywhere..but if u want to spend more times at home then u should use desktop pc..

If I were in your place, I would prefer a laptop aside that it is handy you can also work anywhere you want, like in fastfood chain with free wi-fi or a coffee shop maybe.
If you are particular with the screen, you can also buy a bigger LCD and connect your laptop so you'll have a bigger screen. There a lot of laptop with good quality which will last long just like a personal computer.
