I have both. I use my laptop when we travel or I need it to upload pics and to surf the net. Well lets be honest. I use my laptop all the time and the rest of the family uses the desktop computer. My family always has someone that is online.

I have both as well. I use my laptop for homework and browsing the internet. But it doesn't have a disk drive, so whenever I want to play games, I have to go to the desktop, which is more powerful graphics-wise anyway.

they say that the problem with laptops they cannot upgrade it. Is that true? I'm also planning to buy laptop for my blog purposes whenever I'm not at home. I can be online with my sites regarding my reviews. Thank you.

Is it IN? Probably if your circle of friends all have them and they all go along with what seems to be the current statement of recognition. If it is practical, in depends on the usage. Do you go around much and still need a computer? A laptop could be a good idea but, if you just do it on a single spot, you might as well settle for a desk top.

As long as we set aside money for something that we really like buy, like a reward for the efforts that we do, its not impossible that we could really get to afford them since by the time we have saved enough, something new would've already came out and making the item that you were saving for, more affordable than before..

I acutally dont have one but it is really in today. There are acutlly lots of people who have laptops here in our place inclusing sudents who are still young. It is very common to see young people carrying around laptops and using it in fastfood chains, restaurants and other place where they could hang out especially if the place is a wifi zone. It has become popular ever sice places here had become wifi zone. Laptops are acutally much more expensive as compared to desktop pc's and the main problem with laptop is if ever it would get broken it is really hard to get it fixed or very expensive. Spare parts of laptop are not that common here in our place an thus it would really cost a lot just having it repaired. Even schools now are becoming wifi zone unlike during my time when i was still in college we only have internet in our library and nowhere else. But as you could see now lots of students are carrying laptops which are wifi abled around with them in school. Well, who really knows if it is a good thing or not but as i think schools also allow that they also have their good reasons for allowing so.

Yes, laptop is very in now adays and it's very ideal to own one especially if you have online jobs, you can work anywhere while desktop is only for the house and offices so it's not really convenient. I don't have one but I am planning to buy one next year because of the convenience it offers. I don't know what brand is the most durable, I try to research some info first.

Well if a person can afford a expensive laptop, then a laptop is the way to go, but if you are a person on a limited budget and want you're money to go further, then you should buy a desktop computer. I have personally owned both, a laptop and a desktop and I can honestly say that I like using a desktop more because it is more affordable to repair and to upgrade more so then a laptop. A laptop is more expensive to maintain .But laptops are great because they are convenient and you can use them anywhere. So to me, it's more practical to buy a desktop .

I agree with you. That's why I bought desktop rather than laptop. Although it's very convenient to have a laptop because all places today are Wifi ready and it's a easy access to my site. laptop cannot be upgraded unlike desktop. My friend bought Neo Laptop and she had a problem because she cannot access internet. Theirs is a limited time of 1 hour. That's bad. She\s not happy. Thank you.

Most young people here in the Philippines are enamored with laptops. They find it cool and trendy to go out and carry a laptop around in malls where there are hot spots so they can surf the net. I don't know, maybe it's because of the rise of wireless Internet that laptops are suddenly IN here in my country. I own both a laptop and a desktop. The laptop actually is old, I'm the third owner of this. This has passed from my aunt, then to my grandpa and then to me but it's pretty unreliable. I bought a desktop instead, since my job doesn't require me to carry a laptop along. I'm thinking of getting one in the future though, so I can go outside to work if I don't feel like working at home.

Yes I agree. Maybe your one of the rich kid here in the Philippines. I can see the import ants of laptop today for assignment at school and projects. To business that required reports everyday to make it easy. I'll buy one if I got my big earning here in my lot.

I am a college student and my laptop is my lifeline! I can take it to the library, to and from school, and wherever else I need. Plus, it doesn't take up much space, which is important when you live on campus. I love it :-D

Yes laptop is in but you do not have to base your decision in buying because it is in. you have to consider what you would need a computer for and what is more practical. Desktops costs lesser than a laptop, for me desktops are more powerful than laptops.. I own both.. My desktop is for my heavy duty gaming and heavy heavy applications, while my laptop is just for internet, writing, transfer pictures to while i am traveling, simply so i can go mobile. It depends on you on what you would buy, think about it. ^___^
