For me old aged people are like god figure. When ever they meet you they always showers blessings upon you. An example is my grandmother, whenever I meet her she always showers her blessings and love upon me. Not only grandmother, other old aged people they give love and blessings to me, because I always try to give them respect they deserve always. I feel very discomfort when others misbehaved with them directly or indirectly. One has to feel that one day each and every person has to grow old and what if their children behaves the same with them.

I am not sure what area you live in, but where I live which is the Midwest of the United States there are mixed feelings when it comes to older people, especially when they become frail or ill. Some people like myself like to spend time with them, keeping them company when they are lonely, helping them with physical issues but most importantly listening to them and learning from their years of wisdom and experience. I see a lot of people who pull away from their elder relatives as they become less able to keep up with our fast pace world. Though some have valid reasons to put them in nursing facilities, there are some who see these places as dumping grounds because they are now a burden. It saddens me to see how so many of these wise people are treated in what should be their golden years.
