What makes MYLOt Special in comparison to other forums

In the big www there are tens of thousand forums out there with many interesting topics to be discussed. I myself am apart of two forums. 1. is a poetry site 2. is a bridal forum. Each specific forum offers their own expertise. I just came across Mylot as I was looking to space out the waiting time on responding to posts. Anyone who has been a member of this site for a while would you mind saying why it is you think MYLOT is better than other forums. The only downside is I find it a bit overwhelming with all of the topics posted. For me I've been here for one day haha and I always find that when I hit refresh there's something of value that I can respond to. I'm not concerned about the money aspect to be honest, I'm looking for something that will keep me busy when work can't :) I love being opinionated and find that forums quench that thirst. For me I hope to get a lot out of mylots in terms of friendships, knowledge and a little bit of fun.
For the regular members do you have any tips for us newbies. Not in the money department but just with mylot in general.

I'm greener than you on the site.
The reason Mylot caught my attention is because they pay, but not because I wanted to make money. It's the fact that since they pay, people tend to think better before posting, they avoid being insulting and they actually use real words. For instance, I still have to find a mylotter who decided it was ok to change the word "You" for the letter "U".
I'm not a native speaker, so places where one can engage in discussions while learning how to speak better are a plus to me.
I do have to agree with you in that it's hard to keep up with the discussions, tagging people as friends seems to help, but it's something I'm avoiding to do right now because I don't really know anyone here.

You know that is such a very honest answer. I never would have thought of it that way but when I thought about ratings and the way each member works here it does cause each member to be thoughtful in their answers and not just be out right rude. Now while I'm guilty of this in the other forums I'm with i have to admit this does persuade you to clean up your act a bit. I think everyone is guilty at some point in time insulting towards others. Or in some way mean in some postings back. I think there some peace in learning how to give constructive criticism and an honest opinion and doing so in a polite manner instead of mean. Thank you kindly for your insight on Mylot. :)

You are more then welcome to call me Amanda :) What I think your referring to is passion. When we are soo passionate about what we believe in that can be a great thing yet it can be our biggest crutch in this world. I too am like that in the sense where I'm soo passionate about certain topics what I say can be taken as mean when in all seriousness it was just me trying to make a point. I'm sure I'll have a few slip ups along the way as it's bound to happen :)

there's a lot of brain storming here, I gained so many friends at other sites but I do earned much lesser there....Here in mylot you're also gaining friends but what special is that your earning in a daily basis. while at others on a monthly with little earnings as it depend much to your active referrals, while here you can have bigger earnings by posting quality responses and spending much of your time with even few referrals. If you'll add more referrals, however, more impressive earnings...

our minds work here as we participate in the discussions by thinking and sharing our opinions to whatever topic we are interested in. We can express ourselves by starting a new discussion. Unlike in other sites, here you can make comments for topic discussed for topic being by anybody, even not yet your friend...we also learn from others from their views for every topic we are discussing.

Though I've heard a lot of things, to be honest what makes mylot special is that they pay you. Although it's not very much, it helps people justify their foruming addictions (I know I have a pretty serious one), and keeps them coming back to post in more discussions. Apart from that, mylot doesn't have anything special. In fact the way mylot organizes threads (only one post per person per thread) is a bit strange.

On post per person per thread? You mean if I were to post in 'mylot.com' say this thread for example then I chose to do another one in 'mylot.com' that wouldn't work?
See I like the way you think, being paid is perfect way to justify a forum addiction. (I must admit I have one too) Which is why I'm apart of other threads etc. The pay seems to be the main jist but then again you can't help but love the fact that you get paid for something you enjoy doing :)

Hi friend,Mylot is very different from other forums.We feel very comfortable and the discussions running here are very interesting,which can be answered by everyone.In other forums we would not find discussions to respond sometimes but in mylot we can make discussions from sky to earth about anything and everything in the world.Even the earnings are very less compared to other forums mylot is a class in always.

I agree with the variety of posts available to the users. I also find myself on the other forums I'm apart of waiting for an 'interesting' topic to pop up and give my 2 cents worth and that wait is usually at least an hour. So far in the day and a bit I've been here I have had no issues with keeping my fingers busy :) Thank you for responding

I think whats so appealing about this site is that it pays and if i'm really honest this is what drew me to it originally. However after using this site for a couple of weeks I realised there is just so much to ths site and the benefits you get from this site are incredible. I have learned so much through other users and even made some good international friends through it.
There are other forums on the net similar to this one which pay per post but none as of yet in my opinion come close to rivelling this. If your new here I doubt it will be long before your an addict to. Currently I try to spend at least an hour a day on this site. So my message to any newbies out there would be have fun, enjoy and keep posting.

Addict is an understatement if that is at all possible lol. I have the gift of gab and the thing I love although it still is a bit intimidating is there is really no limit to the topic you can talk about. Where as most other forums are restricted to certain topics and once that is exhausted it gets deleted. My guess is I'll spend a good 4 hours just killing time :)

What I find actually helps is having referrals. It's not hard to find a few friends who would love to benefit from talking :) Welcome to the site hope your having as much fun as I am.

this is my first forum online ,you know i am working in an office ,and everyday,i must work hard and fell tired when back home from work.but i only love mylot,for it can teach me many things i can't obtain from my dailylife.generally ,i also meet different friends and share their worthy experiences.i also enjoy their funny thoughts and knowledge.i think it is life to meet friend and share knowledge and enjoy colorful life .that's why i want to come to mylot.

I'm a member of 2 forums online. One being myLot and the other being craftster.org Craftster is a board site specifically for crafting and making items, I make and own my own jewellery website and on this website I can get good feedack for what I've made. I also participate in swaps through the website with other crafters to develop my skills.
The reason I participate in myLot is because I love to discuss anything. And I really mean anything and I love to hear people's opinions. The money is a small incentive but it isn't really why I come on here. I just enjoy talking. 
My tips would be just post on topics you have an interest in, appreciate other users opinions even if you don't agree and develop your points and responses. The one thing that irks me on here is an answer of about 5 words!!

You know that is a great idea and I may check out that site as I love to craft myself. You do jewelry eh? I would love for you to take a peek at a few of my Peoplesoft designs. I have had many people say that some of my designs would look beautiful as jewelry. Perhaps this was fate :) I do photography and design. Love it. So you are allowed to post photos etc and your own creations here eh. That sounds like something I may just do. Please message me if your interested in seeing those designs as I have yet to figure this site out totally :).
I agree about the 5 word answers. I dislike them anywhere as I feel they add nothing to the discussion at hand. Thank you for your response.

Hi amanda, Welcome to mylot. I have been a member of mylot for 7monhts now but lately I am not active as I used to be. But I could tell you why I like mylot? It's because I have friends here who are good in sharing their thoughts, advice, knowledge on something, share their experiences. In summary, as if I am visiting different places in the world just by being a member of mylot. This place is a diverse cmmunity where people share their culture and practices I can not read somewhere else. It is a first hand information. That is why I like to be here even if sometimes I am not reaching my pay out but still I like to be here. Good luck for your days ahead in mylot.

Celestial always loved that name :) THank you for your response. No worries on the not being active part we all need a little time away from the computer here and there.
It's interesting that you say that Mylot is a place for all cultures etc to unite. So far I love it and can see myself becoming addicted. I have sent many referrals to all my forum friends :).

i feel mylot is more special than any other forums, it is not only due to it pays well and ontime but it is also due to the way we work here is so much of fun and it is a way to spend our time in fun and enjoyment by making discussions either we starting it or responding to ones discussion both are fine and a good enjoyment so i feel nice about mylot and it is a enjoyment earns money for us and it is good forum as it pays us ontime and not like any other online earning programmes.
for newbies i would hope they also enjoy here and make good discussions and find good friends and also earn well and even would stay longer with the site and boost their earnings and also mylot.

i think Mylot is way better than other forum because i think people that comes here are really honest and friendly like a true community. Other forums that i been on before has scrams and tell rumors and lie. i really respect and like my lot how it is structure and the people that comes here

I think that honesty may be contributed to ratings and just an overall sense of respect. I am still new so I don't entirely know the community yet but from what I've read so far it's a great community to be apart of.

I love having fun and I love learning new things, discussing topics I regularly wouldn't and as you said yes earning the money is a side perk :)
