I live in public housing. Right now, I live in the lowest income public housing possible. I am hoping(as I officially have a job) to move to moderate income housing which means you're still poor but have a job and goals. I'm sorry to be mean, but it seems like my neighbors don't have any for the most part. I think I'll fit in much better in this new development. Suddenly, I won't be the most functional person in the entire complex merely because I have a job. I'm sorry but I don't feel like I'm functional enough to be the most functional anywhere. I'm certainly not where I want to be. In this new development, I will be surrounded by people who are also trying to better themselves. It will be good for me. Does anyone else live in public housing? Do you have the same opinion of it as I do?

hi cripfemme!
i am not sure if i get the idea of a public housing in your country. i believe you live in the United States right? here we have housing programs too, but i think the system works differently. you can own the house after awhile. because you can pay the government. or somtehing like that.
anyway, i hope everything will work for you. all the best!
take care and God bless you! :D

Wow! You can own your public housing house? Cool. Here it's just a subsidy; you don't get any ownership building.

I lived in housing projects when I was a child. It is good that you will be living in a new developement where people are trying to better themselves. Sometimes people who live in projects get too comfortable and do not try to do anything to help themselves.
I wish you luck.
