Raul Castro told a reporter (ha ha) that he would like to meet president elect Obama on "nutrual ground" meaning guantanamo. What is also interesting is the reporter that he told this to was none other than Sean Penn. Yep actor that was married to the material girl herself. Sense when is he a repoter?
Raul also said he would like to send President Obama home with a gift....the American flag that is currently flying over Guantanamo Bay. So much for wanting a nice peaceful talk. Anyone else insulted or upset by that arrogent comment?
What do you think. Should President Elect Obama meet with Raul Castro when he becomes president?

Sean Penn is, once again, being the grinning ninny to a communist murderer.

What is up with sean penn. Is he an actor, is a journalist? And what is he doing talking to and going to a country on our no no list?

really? Guess I do not know much about him. I remember he used to married to Madonna and he used to be an actor. Other than that I never really cared enough to learn more him.

Unless Obama is wanting to remove economic sanction on Cuba and negotiate a trade deal, I see nothing to gain from meeting with Cuban leaders. If Obama is wanting to keep the tradition since JFK of an trade embargo then what would be the benefit of a meeting.

Who knows what they would accomplish. But from his statement I think they want us out of Cuba. THey want us to completely close the post and leave. Wonder if he will talk to Obama about that.

Him or Hilary - someone from the USA needs to talk to him to talk about lifting that trade embargo.

I don't waste much time getting too upset by his comments. It's no secret he's an arrogant a$$hole, right? I really don't think there's much chance of a meeting between Obama and Castro although I must admit, considering some of the other nations we trade with, I really don't see why the trade embargo isn't lifted. I could be wrong about that but it's just my opinion.
Sean Penn's done this sort of thing before, "acting" as a reporter. I honestly think his heart is in the right place but I have a feeling I'll take a beating for saying that...lol!

I agree with you. Something stinks to me about the Cuba thing.
I saw Bush in China during the olympics via news media.
I do know that after his meeting in china .Iraq and China made a big deal over oil.
I do not understand why our country would be nice to china.

I agree. We do trade with China and they are a bigger threat than Cuba. Not to mention the middle eastern countries we get oil from that hate us.
I agree that he is an aggrant jerk. But we have our fair share of those right here in this country.
