...and no ladies I am not talking about your ex-man...(joking). On a serious note, what do you think happens to our furry friends when they die? Do they join us in heaven as our loyal friends? I had a black lab named Lady from the time I was about 14 until last year. She was around fifthteen when she died. I really loved that dog and she was a friend to me. I was just curious what your views are in regard to what happens to a pet when they pass away. I would like to think there is a heaven or some peaceful resting place for her.

There's no such thing as heaven for animals :D I'm a Catholic so the whole idea is senseless to me. Does that mean that dogs have souls? Then pigs should have them as well! (did you know that George Clooney has a pet boar? so if dogs are pets then so are pigs/boars). But we eat pigs!! So are we murderers? That's how my thought usually runs. In contrast to all of that, we as human beings are created in God's Image and Likeness - and we have souls and Consciences :) that's what they don't have and that's why they don't have heaven. I see you've recently joined myLot, hope you have fun here!

Hi there, I think dogs will enter heaven because I do not think they commit sins with their own will. Besides, dog never has thought like us,human being. If I am not mistaken, they only has instinct for survivor.

I'm not sure that there's an afterlife for humans, let alone animals, but I feel that if there is a heaven our pets will be there. To me the best part of heaven should be being reunited with my loved ones, the furry/feathered/scaled varieties included.
