What motivates terrorist to harm people?

Wow! What a topic! What motivates anyone to harm or kill? Mental illness! An insane hatred and overwhelming desire for revenge. Propaganda often fuels this hatred and revenge, too. Get enough people together who share the same hatred and propensity for violence, put them in a room with an eloquent motivational speaker with the same desires and you have a nuclear bomb looking for a place to happen! I don't believe these terrorist-types even see innocent people as humans... only as "the enemy". Destroy! Kill! Maim! All in the name of God, or Allah, or whomever. WTF??? Now, THAT's an entirely different topic but it's one that has intrigued me for a long time: killing in the name of religion. I always thought our "Supreme Being" (whatever name we give it) is supposed to stand for love, not hatred. I don't know. It has to be some kind of insanity that has been built to the point of only seeing people as enemies that must be destroyed.

I think these people are so very unhappy people who have been brought up with so much misguided information and they are taught to hate and to think to kill is going to make them great, I think to stop this sort of thing we all have to get rid of people from the top, we are all in this world together all sharing a short amount of time in the universe that we are given, we should all live happily and help each other not kill...
