I made cole slaw. It was wonderful. I spoke to my sister-n-law about my hands and she has a food processor. Normally it takes me all AM to make it, but only 1 hour thanks the to food processor and I didn't tear up my hands. I'm soooo happy! Also can of yams we will bring today after I heat them and pickled vegetables as well as what we like to drink. Plus a Thanksgiving picture. They don't get the internet, so they haven't seen this, but some people here use it as their avatar and my boss sent it to me in an email. So what did you bring or make for Thanksgiving?

I love using my food processor, it definitely makes chopping a lot of veggies fast and easy.. I made 2 pies, one very large pumpkin and a cherry pie..I did make an apple pie, but I am keeping that for my husband birthday which I already showed him and we will be eating after lunch, because we are not going to my in laws until this evening..

Oh yes, we had a very pleasant visit, much better than the last time we had Thanksgiving together. And both my pies were a hit, and I was able to save a couple small pieces of the pumpkin to take home..But I have a lot of pumpkin frozen to make more, anytime... I hope you had a great time today too, I just got back and was checking out a few messages before heading to bed, because it was also a tiring day, will tell more tomorrow..:)

Oh yes, I had fun today. One of my inlaws is going deaf, so I taught her some of the sign language alphabet and how to sign her name. I so seldom get to use my sign. She will be at our X-mas, so I went on ebay and just bid on a sign language video. I hope it doesn't go too high. If it does, I'll have to back off. There was a huge amount of food. So much stuff, I can't remember it all. The stuffing and everything was great. Glad you had a better time this year. Take care.

There were two pies today, also. One was pumpkin and one was berry. I had a piece of apple pie at an orchard and was it ever delicious. Shouldn't have spent the money for a piece, but I did. Hope you had fun this evening and take care.

Your cole slaw sounds tasty and pretty simple to make with your sister-in-law's food processor. I've always thought I'd like to have one but just when I'm ready to buy one, I start thinking about where on earth I'm gonna store that thing (I don't like alot of appliances on the countertop), and then I end up not buying it. I absolutely love vegetables and I think it would be really cool to chop and slice them in all kinds of interesting ways. I cooked a turkey bre-st, homemade dressing and gravy, and mashed potatoes with baked beans. Also, I added brussel sprouts so there would be something green on the plate. It was just the 2 of us yesterday, so it took me less than 2 hours to prepare it all. I used the convection roast feature of my oven and everything turned out great. Glad to hear your Thanksgiving went well also.

Sounds delicious and wonderful. Her food processor was very small. Since there are only two of you, you could use a small one and the ones with the same power as the big ones are worth it. Take care

We are having our dinner at home, just the 2 of us. Our big celebration will be on Sunday night when the kids came come to dinner. My daughter lives 3 hours north of us and can't come down until Sunday. The others will join us for a nice meal at that time. Traditional meal is what I serve. Turkey with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie for dessert.

Sounds wonderful and I'm glad you could be together as a family on Sunday. We were discussing this at work about how some families need to celebrate on a different day. Thanks and take care.

I am hosting Thanksgiving so I fixed the turkey and will have potatos and gravy, two salads, corn, sweet potatos, and dinner rolls. Deviled eggs and pumpkin pie are being brought by others. I am getting hungry smelling the turkey cooking and talking about food.
