My husband has the National Geographic channel on. They are talking about grizzly bears. Now, I know bears are big. I even saw one in person when I was younger, but I didn't realize they were as tall as I am on all fours! Yep, a grizzly bear can be five feet tall standing on all fours! If they stand up it said they can be nine feet tall! I certainly don't want to see one standing up. It also said they can run as fast as olympic runners! Makes you realize just how dangerous they are. I can't believe the people on the show survived the attack!

They say the last thing you see from a Grizzly bear is its standing on their hind legs, then they use their force to knock you down and tear you apart. If you're in the woods with a buddy and a bear is chasing you, you don't have to outrun the bear, just your buddy.

Isn't that just amazing? We just don't realize how big those creatures are. I don't want to be anywhere near one, not even in the same forest! And if they run like an Olympic runner, they are DEFINITELY gonna catch me. It's hard to believe that anyone could survive an attack by one.

It was a man and his daughter on the program. Both survived but had to have surgeries. I've heard of other survivors too. It does seem unlikely though.
