Are you a member of any rewards program?

With tough competition, credit card companies or even small companies are offering rewards program of every kind. This is their strategy to keep their customers within their company. Just like for one of my credit cards, it offers me points for every single purchase that I make using the card. I think this is the most common rewards program there is. And from the points you earn, you get to choose a reward from a variety of things. So what about your rewards programs?

I used to have a rewards card but I gave it up because they were not computerized and were quite inefficient. I don't have a credit card and even if I want to have one for online purchases, I hesitate for obvious reasons of identity theft. Cheers!!

Well, having no credit card might be the best way to go these days. With soaring credit card debt, the small reward points that you get is nothing compared to the interest that you have to pay if you have credit card debt.

I only have one card that offers rewards and that is Target. I get a set # of points each time I make a purchase. Once I reach a certain # I get a discount on my purchases. I've used this twice already and although it didn't save me a ton of money, every little bit helps nowadays. I think it's great the companies are doing this because most people aren't going to get a credit card just for rewards. They're giving us an advantage for something we would be doing no matter what.

Yeah, every little bit counts. I know that companies are offering this type of programs to make sure that we stay loyal to them. Since we are the one giving them business, they should take care of us too.
