Well, CS3 is a lovely piece of software, and deserves its place as the industry standard. But for me, it runs a loooonng second to PaintShopPro Photo; PSP and Photoshop are pretty much equivalent when it comes to power, with Photoshop more likely to introduce new tools and PSP better able to make those tools easy to use.
When it come to interface, ease of use and learning curve, PSP is a clear winner. If you really want to dabble in design and photo editing, Corel are currently offering PSP Ultimate + Painter Essentials as a cheap bundle. Painter let's you paint and draw with "natural media" or turn your photos into paintings, etchings etc.
I spent a pleasurable 1/2 hour wandering around your site. You have a good eye and you have certainly pushed your compact to its limits. I think it's time you treated yourself to a better, faster ISP with a less quirky site, though. It rather lets your presentation down.
And, yes, you can post links here: www.davidrichphotography.org

Ahh in that case www.serenityphotography.webs.com
I have done some jewel designs etc. I have heard a lot about Corel. I may sound dumb in asking this but how should I go about getting a faster ISP? For now I am relying on the free webhosting etc as for me purchasing a domain and all that applies seems to be a bit daunting and over kill. Do you have any suggestions for going about this as that would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for taking the time to view my site. I would like more freedom in terms of the design and will do that once I have my own site and domain. I will take a look into the other software you mentioned the problem is I have become comfortable with CS3 but that wasn't done without at least a year in trying to 'figure' things out, which I'm still doing to date I might add.
Many thanks for your response.

I'm with you! Photoshop CS3 all the way! I haven't really used Adobe Lightroom at all, but I hear it's really great for photographers. I'll just stick with Photoshop since it's what I'm used to and am comfortable using. I can do everything I need to do in Photoshop.

I've heard about lightroom as well and may look to 'dabble' as I like to use lol and learn how it can help my photos out.
