Have you tried the pet foods before?

I think this question is very weird. But some people may want to know how their pets' foods taste like. Some really have a good smelling. Perhaps it will taste good, too. But I haven't tasted my pets' foods before.

They are almost tastless. I tried the biscuits that my dog ate before. Nothing much. They smell darn good, but are pretty tasteless actually. Have not tried the canned food though. Maybe, next time I get a pet, I may try it just to satisfy my curiosity.

Well, you can always try a tiny bit if you think eating dog food is nasty. Just to satisfy the curiosity. I think it is worth it. I mean, if the dog can eat it, I am sure we can too. It is after all, made from food.

My cat is very fussy with her food and sometimes I open up a can and she steps back from it, I have often wondered what the pet foods taste like, the companies could be putting anything into those cans, we wouldn't know after all who is going to taste it...not me

I can imagine that your cat lives very well. So she can be so picky

Ewwwww no way! I had to read this discussion when I was eating LOL! Bad timing eh! I would never touch my pet's food, even the smell of it sometimes puts me off. I am very fussy about what I eat and I certainly wouldn't even dream of tasting it. Doesn't matter how good or bad it smells. I don't envy those people who have to taste it, yuk! That's one job I'd never do.

No, I will never do that without a good reason. I feel that it's really weird. I think it could be nice, but considering taking pet's food, it make me don't feel like eating it. I have friends who have tried it. He said the taste is not bad. At least, it's not as bad as most people think. I think the manufacturer of pet's food should have tasted it, so that they know how to improve it the tastiness.

I was curious too. But my friend had found out by tasting it , and it has fulfilled my curiousity (thanks to him). I think it's not surprising that the pet food is not as bad as what imagined, because they need human tester for the pet food . Besides, our pet might have developed the same test as us, before they have been feeding on food provided by human since their ancestor's time.

I haven't tried eating my pets' food either hehe but it does smell good, like the ones in cans like Pedigree. I think its because they have real meat in it and the cook it well with flavor so that it will be very appealing to the pets. I know someone who did try his pet's food and he said its good. Its not yucky as other people would think and he also reasoned that its clean, not like leftovers, since its canned food, they still have some sort of quality control for those stuffs hehe

Hello, youless. Yes, I have already tried pet food. But not my pet's food. I was at school, and I got a package of rabbit food. In fact, I do not have a rabbit. And I needed to do something with that food, otherwise I would just have to throw it all away. Guess what I did? No, I did not eat. I asked everybody to know if they had a rabbit. But before doing it, of course, I ate one or two small grains of food. Damn, that was pretty horrible. I could swallow it, but I'll never eat rabbit food again. Perhaps now I'm going to try dog food or cat food. Not sure. It will depend on how tasty they will look. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Hello youless. When my haohao was still with our family, we did not buy pet food, but human food only. We bought her sausages and milk and also keep the bones from chicken and ducks and pigs for her. She used to like them so much. Well, I still remember what Chairman Mao once said, "if you want to know how the pear tastes, why not taste it?" hehehehe. It is very reasonable since it doesn't hurt anybody. Yeah? Enjoy yourself, youless.

Besides cat food, my cats also eat the fish from the market. But they are very picky. They only eat the fish from Dong Chuan market and this is very strange

youless, I did try out the dog biscuits though and I can assure you that it is a little harder than our regular hard tack biscuits. Tasty but very hard. As for those canned dog food, no. Although, every now and then the aroma is simply irresistible I just take that my canned tuna or luncheon meat would be a better alternative though. Cheers.

Perhaps dogs' teeth are better than human beings'. So their biscuits are harder

hehe, it really sounds weird and i guess that it may smell good or even taste good but i doubt that is it healthy for people to try that? although maybe a bit of them will be ok and do no harm to human's health, you should still be aware of the danger to habitually taste it when you buy a new one. so in my opinion,it can be understood that you may be so curious about the taste of pet foods that you try it once. but please stop doing that in the following time and it is not that reasonable to taste it again. good luck and happy a new year,my friend.
