Are You Vain When It Comes To Pictures???

Lil' Jeremiah - This is my great-nephew in his 2008 class picture. I love it.

My sister feels that a picture hast to be set up, which leaves no room for being spontaneous. If a picture does not look the way she thinks that it should, she will say that she does not like it. That is fine for her own pictures, but when it comes to the pictures of her children and grandchildren, I think she should be much more polite. I am not saying that she should lie, but to say that you do not like the picture of a loved one is rude and a way of rejecting them. She has taught this kind of attitude to her children and I do not like it. My great-nephew just got his school pictures back. My niece did not like his smile on the picture, so she did not want me to have one. But I insisted. He looks so adorable on the picture. He is only two years old. They are not going to smile perfect all the time. Besides, those kind of pictures are boring sometimes. This picture has more character. Are you like that when it comes to pictures?

i am kinda like that like your sister, but i only do that for myself. if i think i do not look that nice i don't like it and i won't pose it up. but i would still sent it to friends and family if they ask for one, i am just not so willing. but i do not criticize others photo, for me i think other people just look so cute and adorable i on picture and just not me hai think i lack self esteem and have self conscious

I believe that if a person is not critical of themselves in that way, then they are conceded. Everyone has something about them that they wish would vanish on at least some of their pictures.

Oh i dont care. I got plenty of pictures from modeling so i dont care if i get an ugly picture. In fact my dad just posted the worst picture of me ever right here on Mylot. I do plan to get revenge but im laughing.

Well now, your dad probably does not see that picture the same way that you do. He probably thinks that it is precious. Give the old man a break, he's a pretty nice guy.

I think some of the best pictures are the ones that aren't posed. The natral looking ones. I have a digital camera, I take lots of pictures. I keep them all, I might not get them all printed out, but everyone is precious to me. My mom had family pics taken of my two sisters and her. We posed in all of them, I didn't like them that well. We then had a silly one, that one turned out the best.

I guess it all depends on what the pictures are for. But I know that after looking at the same person on a posed picture year after year, it can be pretty boring. I like to see their personality come out in a picture, those are the most special ones, just like you stated.

I destroy any photos of myself that are not good but i would never do that to anyone else, I think that is a little unkind to do that to anyone else..

I take digital pictures that I hate all the time, and I delete them. But to tell another person that you don't like a picture of them is just mean.

With Maddy no, I like the ones where he isn't posing and just being himself. Even if he was posing and it didn't look right, I would still love it. I love all his pictures lol As for me, i'm the opposite. I don't like photos and always have to scrutinize them LOL so you can say I'm vain haha

I like the set up and "posed" pictures as well. These are the photos that make it into frames on my wall. However, I like to take spontaneous pictures to. Pictures that you just snap and catch whatever happens to be happening at the time. Those kind of pictures are the ones that create family memories. Also, I would never reject someones picture because I didn't like the way it came out. That is rude.

It makes the person feel bad about themselves. Especially, when it is a child. Thank you for responding.
