hat are you speaking dude..will you let your players play in a nation where there has been severe bomb attacks by terrorists..wont you be concerned about the safety about the players of your country..i dont think what you are speaking is fair..england board asked suggestion before going back from the bcci..the bcci only advised them to go back and so only they went...and the england have really lost the series...and it is written down in history and no body can change that... Happy mylotting.. Bala

definitely not... i am sure you would have heard about the terrorist attack in mumbai. do you think they have withdrawn the odi from will? what would you do in such a situation? they are ready to play the test series...

I cannot believe you can call the England cricket team lucky after what happened in Mumbai!! The terrorists were targeting UK and US citizens and I certainly would not feel safe being in India just now after that. Cricket pales in significance compared to the horror of Mumbai. If circumstances had been different I have no doubts that the England team would have stayed and played the last two ODIs, but you can hardly blame them for wanting to return to the UK to be with their families. The Indian authorities want the test series to go ahead but the English team have reservations. Today Kevin Pietersen said it would be up to the individual players to decide if they want to risk returning. As a result the test series could turn into a farce with India playing against a severly weakened England side.

That's exactly what I was thinking myself. Had England stayed on and played the remaining of the two one-dayers and had they got lost in both of them, then it would have become really difficult them in the Tests too. They would surely have lost some of there ranking points as Australia had lost there ranking points after there loss to India. So England got a breather if they happen to come back to India to play the 2 Test Series. But that was not a good news to India as India lost a great chance of a white-wash as Sri Lanka did to Zimbabwe - a 5-0 white-wash. But anyways, we can continue to increase our rating points as India is currently in a very strong position mentally and on points basis.

I may view they get some more time to build them up
