With yesterday being Thanksgiving, and leftovers in the refrigerator...I notice that Thanksgiving is one big carbohydrate feast. I'm a nutrition student obtaining my Masters, and I just can't get over the fact whole Thanksgiving meal is so unbalanced! Okay, so basically turkey is the only meat (biggest source of protein...but then we have stuffing (carb, rolls (carb), and yes we veggies but they are potatoes and corn (starchy veggies that count as carbs!). Ughh!!!! Cranberry sauce (sugary) and then sometimes people make salad and/or fruit salad but compared to the main part of the mean... carbo overload!!!! Just my observations.. would love to hear comments :)
