It means laugh out loud. I have seen rofl too and llf. The f is the f word but I do not use it much but my friends do when something is really funny to them. I do not have a cell phone so sometimes I have not a clue what people mean with these abrievations so I usually have to ask my twelve year old who is an expert in all this lingo. Take care balacancer22.

Thanks for the reply Ms.Hildas..its amazing that you dont have a cellphone at this time..because nearly everyone from a daily wage to a multi millionaire has a cell phone today and hear from you that you actually dont own one..thats good especially if you need privacy and thanks for the comment...

It's laugh out loud, I tend to send it is something is funny that someone has just told me or if something that I'm saying in the text is funny. If it's something I really think is funny I use LMAO which is laugh my a*s off! theres also ROTFL which is rolling on the floor laughing. There's loads of them!!

LOL stands for "Laughing Out Loud".. This is a very common Internet shortcode. And similarly we use AFAIK which means "As Far As I Know" and the list goes on.. You can find these codes in almost every public forum..

Hello! LOL means Laughing Out Loud. There are some changes in this abbreviation, though, such as LMAO (Laughing My A$$ Out); ROFL (Rolling On the Floor Laughing); ROFLMAO (Rolling On the Floor Lauhing My A$$ Out). I use LOL quite often when having informal conversations, and sometimes even here in myLot I do use it. However, it does not mean I am really laughing. Most of the time I use it just to show that I found something funny. It is like laughing. You can have "hahaha" in English, "hauahauahauha" in Portuguese, "jajajaja" in Spanish... There are many ways to laugh, and writing LOL is one of them. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

From what I have been told, lol means Laughing out loud. It should mean the same things as far as your cell phone is concerned too. Once, I did not know the meaning of this term either, until I kept seeing it being used. I asked someone what it meant, and they told me. I was glad to know after that. I was wondering what this term really meant.

I know this one Laughing out loud. And it is overuse by me when I find something funny, even if I am not laughing out loud.

LOLZ means 'laugh out loud' people use it when they write something on which seems to be funny. Or you may just consider that the sender is laughing..

i might be wrong, but to my understanding,Lol stands for"lots of laugh", it's peoples way of letting you know that what you said was funny or that they enjoyed it alot.

LOL! it's the short way of saying i'm laughing out loud! it was invented to free up some space in texting or chatting. Before i wasn't into much chatting so the first time i encountered "LOL", i was like what??? i thought they were tryin to tell me i'm dumb. LOL!

If the message that was sent to you was funny and there is lol word that goes with it, that means laughing out loud or lots laugh. If the message was like sweet like I miss you, lol, or there's emotion in it, and it's not funny at all but there's a lol word at the end or with it, it means lots of love from the sender. I would prefer not use the word lol when texting otherwise my message will be misunderstood by the receiever specially if they are new to words that are used in texting.

Well lol means laughing out loud! There are many chat abbreviations out there like ROTFLOL i.e Rolling on the floor laughing out loud! And g2g means got to Go. You can search any search engine for a list of chat abbreviations and it will give you a list of all the sites that have a big list of them! I too searched them through the net and they are pretty useful! So g2g.. Tc(Take care!) ^_^
