In this line... what is the right way to say it: I LOVE YOU because I NEED YOU or I NEED YOU because I LOVE YOU I am planning to say that to my girl but I don't want to say it in a wrong way. Thanks to all of my friends who'll help me out here.

I am three weeks late but I think you should say both at different times. In other words when she is there and helps you, tell her how much you need her. And at another time, when you feel the love, tell her how much you love her. Trying to put them together in a sentence, in either order, can be taken the wrong way.I hope this helps and I am not too late.

Hello, Jhordie. In my opinion, you should not say that. The fact is: you do not need your girlfriend. You might love her, but you can live without her. Yes, it will be different and sad, but you CAN. You will not die if she decides to break up. At the beginning it will hurt, and a lot, but then you will realize that you are still alive and your life will be as before. But, if you really plan on saying that to your girlfriend, the correct order would be: I need you because I love you. Saying "I love you because I need you" will make it seems like you are obligated to be near her. Like if you are forced to live with her, and that's why you love her. The other way around, "I need you because I love you", shows that you are already loving her to the point of not being able to live without her. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

love - i need you because i love you
it should be " i need you because i love you " you should never say the first line " i love you because i need you "as it means something very different and is actually very selfish if you come to think of it.... its like sayin you love her only for one reason and thats because you need her in your life.... thats very wrong and i hope you havent told that to anyone as yet!!;) where as int he second line you are actually saying that you need her because you love her for whatever reasons you actually love her!!

for me, I would say i love you because i need you, rather than the other one. i guess it would be up to you to decide which one to say to your girl...

I think mentioning the word 'need' could be dangerous. It might give the impression you are needy - and I'm sure you're not at all. It might be safer to say you love sharing your time with your girl - it sounds less desperate and not as frightening if she's a bit worried about commitment. If you step back a little and give her time to realise how much she misses you, that will have more reward, I think. I really hope it works out for you!

Actually it should be, I need u because i love u.. But if she dun really understand u, or she really wanna break up with u, she can mistinterpret the whole sentence into another meaning.. SO i guess, it's enough to tell her that u love her, and if she were to ask u why, u only need to tell her, love is simple, it's just between u and her, and that's why u love her ^_^

I think the better way of saying it is I NEED YOU BECAUSE I LOVE U, it would actually mean another think if you say it the other way around. hehe Wish u luck :)

Why do you need the word "because" in there? I think I LOVE YOU AND I NEED YOU sounds so much better.

I've always been a little hinky about guys who say "I need you" - I don't want to be in someone's life because they *need* me. I want to be there because they WANT me. If you must say both things, I agree with spalladino's response - no because. I love you and I need you.. or maybe I love you and I want you in my life.

For me the correct way of saying it to the one you love is I NEED YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, bcoz you need them to your life. if you tell him/her I LOVE YOU BECAUSE I NEED YOU has a lot of meaning. First, maybe you have agenda of saying.

I do have the agenda of why i wish to say that... :( sigh but i guess it has no effect on her. THANKS
