What is the secret to get more than a few responses to your discussions? I have not really got many responses to some of my discussions. I know that some of them are dogs, but I know that some are good. How do you get your discussions noticed? There are just so many discussions.

Making a lot of friends can also increase your numbers. If you have a reputation for posting interesting discussions, your friends are more likely to read it and comment on it.

Thanks for the comments. I have a lot of friends, but I'm not sure if that is working for me. I guess I have to try harder.

the title should caught the attention of the readers, if they find the title interesting then they will surely read it. you have to be direct and specific to your topic, don't make your discussion too lengthy unless it's necessary.

Agreed. I need to work on my title. I also agree that lengthy articles do not lend itself to good reading on the computer.

Two things, an attractive title and a good thesis. An attractive title "attracts" the eyes of most myLotters and lures them to reading your thesis. A good thesis gives your readers the condition that keeps them thinking on it and giving their insights on your topic. The many myLotters you attract, the more responses you get. Remember most myLotters are mindful of their numbers so they won't be wasting their time reading a topic, they will surely respond to get a plus one to their numbers. A plus one to their numbers is a plus one to your performance.

Thanks for the tips. Now for the hard part...how do you make your title attractive? I appreciate your advice.

As the person who responded before me said- a good title & a good discusion. Check your spelling & sentence structure, so that readers know what you're asking. Choose a subject that seems popular & use the tags. I don't start many questions, but I find about half of those I do have good traffic.

I guess I try to be cleaver rather than popular. I think there is something to trying to find popular subjects. Thanks for your comments.
