Yesterday, I went for christmas shopping. In a shoe store Me an my son were looking for some shoes. They had christmas sale, take three and pay for two. And I had got some kupngs to use and it would not cost me anything to by them. while my sister and son were looking arond, I wos on a chair and were trying out a pair. When i was ready to stand up, a pain like a knife went through my hole back. The worst of it was, we had just started our christmas shopping, and had a lot of store s to etend to. However, lucky for me there was a drugstore in this shopping centre, so I just had to go over there. It helped a bit, but not much. I have never ever had back pain before, and have not been able to understand others who have. But there is an experiance for everything. Have you experinced this, and how long will it last. I am working tomorrow, but I do not know if it will be possible. I went to sleep at seven last night, woke up four this morning. I am still in pain. Any suggestions.

Try applying some pain-relief rub before you get to bed at night. If you still do not feel better, I would strongly recommend you see a doctor or even a specialist to have it properly checked out. I have hurt my back before and trust me, you really would not want to procrastinate any proper treatment. Hope you feel better soon!

God morning fineexistence, and happy first of advent to you. Thank you for responding, and I will take up on your tips. This is not fun at all. And I am a bit sad, You see, I have none sickdays at work. I have been healthy and able to work since the day I started working. And I was hoping I never ever would have to have any sickdays at all. But as I feel today, it seems I have no chose.

I can fully identify with the sense of helplessness you might be feeling right now. I was also a very active person before I hurt my back and was so traumatised by how it limited my activities. It took me about 6 months before I fully recovered as I seek doctors treatment pretty late. Hope you recover soon especially with the festive season just round the corner..

Now that 5 days have past I hope you are feeling better. It does take a few days of rest before it will start to feel better. I have back problems and I know how you feel/felt when you hurt yourself. Most of the time when we have problems with our lower back it is our siatic nerve. It gets pinched between the vertabras in your spine and nothing but rest will heal it. Or going to the chiropractor and getting an adjustment. But sometimes that hurts too much and you have to wait for the worst of the pain to go away first. I go to the chiropractor once a week because of my back and neck. I have really bad problems with both and if I don't go to the chiropractor I can't do a lot of things. Some mornings I wouldn't be able to get out of bed, the pain is that bad. My neck gets so tight I can't turn my head. Right now I have a headache because of my neck and back and I have taken a few advil but I think I have to get off of the computer and go lay down for awhile. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Have a good day mylotting, Chris

Well, it only lasted for the weekend. On monday it was OK again. I did what I have heard and the tips I had gotten. I took a hot bath, I did some exercising, and I took some short walks. I felt it a bit at work, but not more than I could do the stuff I usually do. I guess, my body are telling me to slow things down, I do a lot of things and I might not think about how I am doing it. We do not tend to take care of the body enough and so the body has to tell us when we are doing to much.

When I have back pain I fill a hot water bottle up with hot water and hold that on the part of my back that is in pain. I also have some pain gel which I rub into my pained back, and that normally works for me. If so bad then out come the pain killers
