My skin gets very dry in winter. Even moisturizers don't help after an hour or so. Is there any cheap, effective & home made remedy to check my condition?? I am exposed to outdoor work everyday.....

i believe that one of the reasons that we have problems with dry skin in the winter is that we tend to drink less water because we aren't perspire as much as we do in the summer. If that is so with you then I suggest you increase the amount of water you drink. You can out some oil in your bath water too as it helps. I use baby oil but you could use olive oil or what ever oil is available to you.

hello buddy, ya i think that something that i will tell you will certainly help. first of all you have to change the way you bath. you have to do that with warm water and use soap that is meant for dry skin. while bathing make sure that you get all the dry skin off your body and that you should do by the help of a good scrubber. after that you have to apply a very little of some light oil like olive oil and you should take special care of avoiding the dust. well you you venture out or go to the dusts you have to wash yourself with soap, remove all the oil and dust and then re apply the oil again. remember you should never apply oil over the dust. i think that this is going to help you in that matter. have a good day and happy my lotting.

Drinking plenty of water is important, especially in winter when we don't naturally get as thirsty as we do in summer. After you shower, pat yourself dry - don't rub! With your skin still a little moist, apply an oil-based moisturizer or an emollient. That will help keep the moisture against your skin so that it can be absorbed more easily. When you are outdoors, be sure to protect any exposed areas of your skin with Vaseline or petroleum jelly - the dry winter air will leach the moisture from your skin otherwise. The Vaseline is a barrier to that. And one of the very best remedies for very dry, chapped skin that my grandmother used to do when I was little - heat some Vaseline in a small saucepan on the stove to melt it. Apply the warm Vaseline (which will be liquid) to the chapped areas and cover for at least half an hour (socks on your feet, gloves on your hands, etc). Good luck!

when you have a bath ,remember don't use toilet soap to wash your body,it will make your kin gers dry. and the water temperature should similar to your body terperature. after your bath, you could use some body lotion,it could prevent your skin losing water. at last ,you could eat some food contains grease, some fruit everyday. I think these food will make you feel better.
