would you go for healthier, more natural foods even if they are more costly?

There are several stores that sell healthier versions of our favorite treats, from gummy bears, potato chips, chocolate and nuts .. however, the cost almost 50% more that their regular counterparts. I'm all for it but with the as we try to find ways to save our budget, are they really worth it?

We would try to get at least some.
Thankfully, living in a farm state and starting up our own farm (plus hopping alot at flea markets and farmer's markets)...this is not te case for us. It alleviates our grocery budget alot.
Healthier is automatically better and usually tastier too, but there's nothing you can do if you only have so much money.
It's why I just insistthat you gotta know your area and where to shop.
There's a ton of people who don't even know that shopping at farmers' markets and flea markets is an option!

Even if I wasn't on a budget I would not be buying food that is labeled organic. I do not believe that their nutritional value is any different and there are studies that compare organic to non-organic food and the nutritional value is comparable. Also, it seems like every year the list of approved pesticides for organic food increases..so how is it really organic now? Just some thoughts.

Gummi bears? Potato chips? Chocolate? Healthy junk food, huh?
I guess if you're going to eat junk food, you might as well try to get the healthiest there is. Better to eat fruit and raw vegetables for snacks, or get trail mix or even popcorn. For example, if you pop corn on the stove top, it's a lot less expensive than microwave popcorn, and a whole lot less expensive than potato chips. I don't think I'd buy "healthy" snacks like those you listed for more than regular price.

We have a very healthy diet and alas some of the things you mention are not all that good or healthy. In general however we grow the majority of our own fruit and vegetables organically. This means we do not use fertilisers, chemicals, herbicides or pestidices but instead prefer companion planting and our own organic mulch and compost.
From those we are able to freeze some so that we still have our own produce when those vegetables are out of season. We also make our own sauces, jams and preserves every year from our own garden products. We also have a few hens and get organic free range eggs from them. All of those things we know are healthy and good for us too.
However even with those things we grow for ourselves and therefore do not have ti buy from anywhere else, I doubt if we would be able to afford to pay up to 50% more for any food item. These days we seldom include treats in our shopping anyway and I suspect with the state of the economy the same applies to many other people as well. When the economy is depressed, as is the case in some many countries at the present time, people become concerned about how they will manage. They worry that they will lose their job and so tend to save as much as they possibly can. Amongst the first things that are acrificed are the little luxuries or treats we all enjoy.
