I don't know about anyone else, but I am so fed up with all the remaking of old movies. Now they have a new Friday the 13th. Why? I ask. The orignals were awsome I thought. I grew up watching them in my teens and they were great. Alot of people probably haven't seen them uncut cause they show them on tv alot but cut everything out of them. I think Kane Hodder was an excellent Jason, and I read the new one is going to be able to do alot of running. I think its rediculous. Hodder put so much into that charactor. I think Hollywood is getting bored and dumb and cant think up any new horror movies.

The first 3 were all right but after that they just got stupid.

I don't think they were all stupid. Only two of them. Part 5, which Jason wasnt even the killer, and part 9. Part 9 was awful!! Jason wasnt hardly in that one at all! And the way he kept jumping in and out of different people was dumb.

You are aware Jason wasn't the killer in the first one either right? His mother was. Jason appears at the end and kills her. That's it. So technically, this new movie is not a remake, it's a reboot of the franchise. I'm fine with that I think. Rich

Sorry, my memories were a bit fuzzy. It's Alice who kills Ms Vorhees. Then Jason jumps from the lake and pulls Alice down. She survives too. But yeah, Jason wasn't the killer in the first one. Rich

I hate when they remake movies. I think what they should do is re-release the originals in the theater. Maybe put a little money into fixing it up if necessary (like they do sometimes when they go to DVD), and show them on the big screen again. I can think of a ton of movies I would like to see re-released. I wasn't a huge fan of Friday the 13th movies, they terrified me, but I guess that was the point. I am curious how they do the remake.

Well, it opened yesterday here in my town and I did want to go see it, but I couldn't afford to. Who can these days? I am curious to see though how it looks. I think that would be a good idea to remaster it and reopen it in theaters. I think it is a neat idea of carrying this icon on through the years. For a younger generation to experience it to. I grew up watching the movies and I bet this version is alot more gorier. Thanks for your comment.

Well hollywood seems to be making a remake of everything now of these days. And I dont see whats so good about the friday the 13th movies I never cared for them but I doubt the remake will be any better since usally remakes of movies end up sucking in a big way and this one will probally to.

You are right this one will probably suck. I always hope though that it might turn out better.
