Well, my little one took his first steps today! At first he took about 5 steps before falling. I called my husband to come see, but he didn't get in the room on time. He did eventually see that baby taking a few tender steps, how cute!
So then I go and grab my camera and daddy and I spend probably over an hour trying to get the boy to take a few steps so I could record it. Pfft... of course not, what was I thinking! He wouldn't even stand up anymore, he was laughing and playing and trying to get the camera. Silly boy.
I remember my toddler being the same way. He was standing up for a good month before I finally was able to get a picture of him doing so.
Do you have a memorable "couldn't catch it on camera" moment?

Isn't that always the way?
When my daughter took her 1st steps we were at a friends house. Didn't have our video camera. So we only got a still photo of her standing there with a big grin on her face. Took another week to get steps on video. We got her saying momma. But she said dada 1st, never got that recorded.

I think all my kids have said dada first. My toddler used to torment me by calling me dada. We'd try to get him to say mama but he'd say dada with a grin on his face. He'd only say mama when he fell down and got hurt, lol.
