Scooters or Motor Cycles? Most men prefer to ride a motor cycle as they feel it is nore macho todo so and they also feel a sense fo power. I personally prefer a scooter to motor cycle because I can carry far more loads on a scooter than on a motor cycle, specially if i go shopping for vegetables, I have to carry a kg of this and a kg of that and by the time i finish I have my bags full. In a motor cycle i have no option but to hang the bags on the handle, Scooter has sufficient storage space on teh foot board as well as a spacious dicky. Secondly in a sccoter, you do not get splashed with all the slush and muck of the road during the rainy season. In a motor cycle your shoes an dtrousers get sprayed with the water and muck off the road.

I haven't driven either, so I'd go with a scooter only because it's cheaper and looks easier to ride. A motorcycle from BWM looks super cool though. But it's quite big so I'm not sure if I can maneuver it around the traffic. And you're right, it doesn't allow for any other passengers and stuff to be carried around. That's not cool because I love shopping!

Honda Shadow - This is the motorcycle that I am referring to. As you can see the saddle bags are on and the rear seat also adds capacity with the cargo net
I see the logic in your discussion however I prefer my motorcycle over a scooter and I did look at scooters before buying my bike. And please allow me correct some points from prior responses. In terms of load capacity there a motorcycle can in fact carry a heavier load than a scooter based solely on horsepower. I Ride a Honda Shadow with saddlebags and a cargo net for the back seat. The only advantages I see of a scooter over a motorcycle is fuel economy. I am averaging 54 mpg with a 750 motor And I see most scooters are averaging 70 mpg

Actually both seems the same to me, both is a transport. But as a woman, I prefer a scooter because it is easy to ride when I'm wearing a skirt.

I love motorcycle since at young age and now i finally own my own Harley and love it when ride t with a convoy. The joyride seem never end and keep on going and going. I am suppose to travel to Thailand but due to the country problem, we have decided to postponed it to next year.

scooters for sure. motorcycles scare me. in all honestly that prob sounds silly but they are just way to fast for such a small thing. id love a scooter and just use it locally on side streets. driving a motorbike on some highway going 100km/hr is just scary!

I've never tried using a scooter. I've been using the motorcycle for quite some time now and I am perfectly okay with it. My problem with scooter is it is so light, I can't use it to drive fast on high way but if I have to travel short distance, I think I'll give consideration to scooter.

The only thing on two wheels worth riding is a Harley Davidson motorcycle. My husband has three of them...an FXR cruising bike and two choppers. We live in Florida so we ride regularly. When we need to carry something we take one of the trucks.

I would definitely look into scooters. They look trendy and easy to handle. I like the fact that I can customize the looks with anything that I want.

Yeah it's always true that scooter can load more weight then a motor cycle. but as a result of fual efficiancy the motor cycle is the best way to save energy and if you know, nowadays market has lot kind of carriers for motorcycle which can carry the same load the scooter can load. Check that out!!!
