I stick with one of our local news channels over the rest because they have proven to be the best when it comes providing us with information during emergencies. Since we live in Florida we have to deal with tropical storms, hurricanes and wild fires so we need accurate and up to date information quickly and regularly.

Even if I watched the local news here I couldn't possibly understand it because it's all in Arabic! lol. I do watch the Dubai News in English from time to time but it doesn't interest me much. Back home in Australia I was not a huge news watcher either to be honest. I enjoyed reading the newspaper but that was about it. Most of the news I keep up with these days is either from CNN or online.

I prefer watching the national news. I live in Santa Cruz and I will watch the San Francisco Bay Area news since I used to live there. The local newscasters are too full of themselves. They inject too much of their personalities into the newcasts. I wany just the news.
