What is Firewire?

Not too sure what is that. Only know that the previous Macbook allows Firewire, and it allows fast data transfer.

its like a port. just like a USB port but has a differenet shape
and its fast!

FireWire is one of the fastest peripheral standards ever developed, which makes it great for use with multimedia peripherals such as digital video cameras and other high-speed devices like the latest hard disk drives and printers. That is a little bit of what this one site said about it and I will give you the link so you can read up on it a little bit.
