I have had to stop using salt as my husband has kidney failure. Putting salt in everything I cook and it really is a habit. I'm having a hard time with things tasting kind of bland but other herbs and spices make a big difference!! Jacks

It is never advisable to put too much salt in our cooking, all for health reasons. May I suggest to use good quality salt. Anyway, I love cooking, especially Japanese food, and have acquired the typical taste of sa, si su se so. Would like to share more with you. Good Day

Yes we do. But we don't use to much because it's still bad for the health.

I don't use hardly any salt as most foods are already salty enough. Salt causes high blood pressure which runs in my family so i try to avoid it. Once the food is cooked people can use salt within limits.

No, I don't use much salt while cooking. I sprinkle a little on my vegetables and meats but that is all. I have a salt shaker on the table but we seldom use it. We don't eat a lot of salt on our foods.

I hardly ever use salt in anything. Mostly just pepper & Garlic. Unless something tastes really bland.

Hi Anita, I don't use much salt in cooking, as I think the sauces I use, would have enough salt.

I will not be a regular in kitchen, only just 3 days in a month only i will spend the time at kitchen, the remaining days, my sister will take care of the kitchen activities.. Even in those 3 days, i will put the Salt always little bit less than what it actually needed, because if we need something we can add.. but if it get more we cannot be able to take it out from the cooked items.. So, I am always caution in adding the salt in the cook. And also my sister will not even use the salt for her curd rice also.. she will eat the curd rice without salt.. So, it is always better to put the salt lower than what it actually required.. this is better than put more than its required. Have a good day.

salt should be used in proportion otherwise though it may taste good to people who prefer more salt in food but to others it will taste awful. so it is better to add a little less salt so that people if require more salt can have it added later.

Ofcourse it is essential for animal life but toxic to most plants.Chloride and sodium ions, the major components of salt are necessary for the existence of all living creatures. Its use must be reduced by high blood pressure patients.
