Ornaments Against Hunger

I think this is a wonderful idea. A class in Toledo is trying to raise money for the hungry and homeless. They are having a charity auction on Ebay. They will be selling the ornaments they make. Do you have anything going on like this in your area? We just have the canned food drives here. I think this is terrifically creative. If you go to the link, you will see some of the kids and the ornaments they made.

We have canned/boxed food drives at our school but I think that this is a great idea
. It gets the kids actually more involved then just handing over a few canned goods and makes them feel as though they are doing even more to help. I think it is a step in the right direction and hope that more and more classes get involved.

I like to hear about these kinds of programs. I wouldn't know if they are doing anything similar in my area or not.. I tend to be a little out of the loop.
