Would you build your 200K dream house if you could afford the note? How about that would be all you could afford? Meaning that you could not afford all new stuff to put in this fancy house? I want a new house, but I can't afford to refurnish everything. It has taken me years to furnish the one that I have.

I would rather have a less expensive house and have the money to buy new furnishings to go into it. I don't see the point in having a nice expensive house if you cannot afford a nice couch to go in it.

I can honestly say no.I don't want a big fanc house.I am not into material things.I would just like a nice 2 bedroom bungalow with a finished basement for entertaining.A pool in the back yard would be nice too.A small home can be hard to keep up with so can you imagine cleaning a big home.NO Thanks. happy mylotting

Of course, above all other things before building a house, I should see to it, that I have enough left for the furnitures, and appliances that Im planning to buy as well as enough savings left for my everyday expenses. What would happen to me if ill spend all my money for building the house? Its just like, "yeah, i have a beautiful house, but i dont have bed to sleep on, and money to buy food, hurray!"

In my opinion affording the note is only on small step in it. The quesion is can you afford the upkeep on it. I would not want a to build one unless I hit the lottery or came into some windfall that would provide not only the note but the furnishings and the upkeep thatwill come with it! I'm satisfied with the one I have for now
