She woke up yesterday morning with a stuffy nose and it seems to be worse today. I used one of those nasal aspirators on her nose since she cannot blow her nose yet, but she hates it. Any ideas on how to make her less miserable? I know cold medicines are not good for kinds this age(she is 22 months old).

Has anyone mentioned Vicks yet? I swear by it!
When the baby was only like 3 months old he got a horrible cold with congestion. I was in the same boat, what do you give a 3 month old? So I went out and got some Vicks, and just smeared it on the side of his bassinet, so he could still smell it and inhale the vapors, but it wasn't touching him and wasn't overpowering. Within 10 minutes his congestion was gone and he was breathing clearly.
I've used it on my toddler a few times, he's about 2 and a half now. I usually just put it on his shirt instead of straight on his skin. It says it's okay for over 2, but I don't like to take chances.

Darn me for not reading the first response first, lol. Sorry for repeating what they said... but obviously it's a good idea! I hope she's feeling better anyways.

That's how the baby was with his cold. He was struggling to breath, then breathing clearly. It didn't clear up the cold any faster, but definitly helped him get some sleep.

Oh, the poor baby is not feeling well. I can imagine how difficult it is for babies when they are congested. Have you tried somthing like vicks vapor rub? When my son was a baby I would rub a little of the vicks vapor rub around his nose, so that when he inhaled he would get vapors which helped with the stuffiness of the nose. Sounds like your little one can not get it out.
I won't reccommend what was done way back when, I remember hearing my grandfather saying how it was done. I hope she will be feeling better soon. Maybe, when she takes a nap, you can place her on her stomach, so that maybe everything will run out.

We elevate my daughters head with an extra pillow. Then put Vicks Vapo-Rub on her chest. Put a humidifier in the room, works like a charm. When it gets bad, we use nasal saline. They hate it, but it works. I don't blame her. I'd hate it too.
