Why does it seem that as soon as an actor dies ,its like he is raised to iconic status ?. Consider the recent situation with the Dark Knight, which has grossed a total $529783340 dollars ,half a billion dollars, the second highest grossing movie of all time and all because of the death of Heath Ledger.Dont get me wrong Heath was a rising star but I dont believe he was good enough for the accolades that he was receiving after his death.I am pretty sure he wouldnt have gotten such rave reviews if he was still alive. Why is this so,is it that movie goers are now clamouring to see the last movie he will act and so immortalise it in their mids .Or are they feeling sorry for his death and feel this is way to pay homage to deceased actor. Did Dark knight soar because of guilty consciences from persons who probably ignored him during his life .What ever the reason may be ,Hollywood has benefitted tremendously from Heath's death. What are the reasons for this movies success at the box office ,was it really that good ?
