What Words Get on Your Nerves?

Are there any words that you really hate to hear? For me I really hate the word "chillax." I mean, its not even a real word. Its the combination of two words that mean the same thing to create one really annoying word. Other words that can be annoying are words that are overused. I just recently noticed while I was responding to discussions here on myLot that there are a few words that I use all the time like, definitely, actually, and really. These words by themselves aren't that offensive, but when they are used in every sentence they are like fingernails on a chalk board. What are some words that annoy you?

Words that annoys me are "get it?" Everytime someone say these words to me I so want to say "yeah, smarty pants". Also the sarcastic "hello". I really hate it....hello?!! :(

"Utilize", "In retrospect", and any other word that stupid people attempt to create a facade of themselves to seem semi-intelligent. It truly incenses me to the point I want to just disprove them in whatever they are saying. So please, avoid such word usage because nobody uses them naturally in diction anymore.

Hi Kkthom3, great topic you have posted. There are a number of words that I really hate to hear, that really annoy me to no end. Like 'you know' - I met someone who kept starting each sentence with 'you know' and I got so fed up that I just told him 'I don't know'. He was stumped for more than a few seconds! Another one is 'listen first' and this person wants you to listen to him; he doesn't want to listen to you!

I got irritated whenever I hear the words: "I guess" most especially if I'm asking a question answerable by yes or no. Can't they just answer yes or no? is it that hard? or they can use "maybe" right? Not "i guess" because it keeps you even more puzzled.
