First thing to look at is why they left something negative about your site. If it is a good reason, fix the problem. If the person is just trying to make you look bad, write something back addressing the situation and suggest a resolution. There is no need to hurt someone's reputation because you don't agree with what they write. Working things out is best for everyone. Communication is the key, just like in relationships. We are all like a family here, writing our feelings and trying to make a few extra cents. Lets support each other in the best possible way. If someone doesn't like what is written in a blog, use some constructive criticism. I will help everyone out in the long run.

hi ayu_puteri, i think it is not possible to be polite always even if the other person leaves negative comment or abuses, but may since it is your blog asking for explanation in a gentle way is more appropriate.

We have to ask "why are they leaving negative feedback?" Are they giving constructive criticism OR are they trying to start trouble OR are they very rude (lots of curse words)? If they are starting trouble & cursing, then their posts should be deleted. If it's something constructive then you could always address the situation on your blog by changing it or acknowledging what they are saying. Have a nice day. Pablo

Hello. It is fine if someone left a negative comment on my blog, because it's their perception on the thing or event, but it is better not to return back a negative message on him/her so he would realize that the person he commented negatively was a nice person. Long live. :)

As a person, I guess my first reaction is ANGER... But as what I learned from my past mistakes, its better not to react immediately because sometimes we say things that are inappropriate and then later, we regret it. We analyze the message first and if you're still angry with the message, it's better to ask someone close to you to read the message or someone who is not bias to anything against you. Then you can ask that person to explain to you about the message. Maybe, after the explanation (of what the person understands with the message), you can gain an insight of the real reason why the sender send the message to you. Thus, you can send a proper reply which is not clouded with anger.

I had a blog before and someone left negative comments on it. I guess he didn’t like my discussion about Vista versus XP computer. Well, that was his opinion and I respect it. I really didn’t feel bad since I made that post public so I expect some good and bad comments from readers. Unfortunately, I don’t have time updating it that is why I deleted my blog but I am planning to make another one again. I just don’t have time as of now since I am coping with my new work.

If someone posts negative word on my blog, I shall try to find why he or she is putting this on the first place. Is it just to annoy the blog site owners or something really amiss giving chances to post negative words. If justifies reason is there I shall thank him and correct the deficiency, if it is intentional then I shall warn him and advise him to rectify his misleading postings. If required will delete the posting.

I don't delete negative messages. I let them online if I feel I must say something, then I'll post a comment. But usually my readers feel the need to answer to the negative comment in my place so ... I'm ok with this :)

Honestly, I will have a sudden reaction of feeling bitter about it but then I will tell myself it's alright. People don't think slike. I will pick it up as a lesson and find a way around it to be able to understand why people behave this way. You should be glad that you hit them bull's eye.;-)

Well.. I too have a blog and its good to allow comments because we can improve on all the aspects. When we receive a good comment about our blog we get motivated and improves our confidence. And when we receive a bad comment we should consider them if really pin points your drawbacks and try to improve. It all leads to a healthy development of our blog. Of-course if the comment is worth less dont bother about it and just delete it.

Hi kunking I did receive negative comments. In the beginning it used to feel very bad but then I thought, the criticisms help us improve and I started to take it in the right spirit. I think, we must take it in the right spirit. And I ignore those real gross ones. no use getting upset over baseless censures.

This is not something that you should me worry much or feel angry as different people have different ways of seeing thing and when there is a clash in opinions and thoughts this usually results in such a behavior. So you has the blog owner has to behave in a manner so that your other blog readers do not get scared just because you yelled at someone's comment. Instead you can encourage others that they are free to criticize and it is highlight welcomed. If your inner person feels a lot more than that you the best thing to do is to either ignore that comment or hit the delete button

Well I just leave it there, however if it has anything life bad words, I immediately delete the comment. If it contains links to malicious sites or referrals I just delete it because some of it might be spam and maybe harmful to the computer.
