How will you spend the day of your Anniversary when you're partner isn't there at your side?? Would you still celebrate your Anniversary?? Or just think that its just the ordinary day?? Tomorrow December 3 and 4, 2008 will be our 4th Anniversary and until now we are still in a long distance relationship.. This is our first Anniversary that we will not spend each other company and we don't see each other.. I don't know how to spend the day tomorrow since he isn't here.. Well, I really don't have plans for tomorrow since it seems that I don't need to have a plans to celebrate it.. Maybe, if he is here I have so many plans for our anniversary just like before but since we are far from each other I don't think so there's a need to celebrate.. Well, I'm planning to just make a call and make a greetings and told him that I love him so much and I miss him.. That's all I can think of now.. What about you guys? How would you celebrate your Anniversary in far aways? Will you still celebrate it??

My hubby and I been into LDR for 3 years before we finally been together. It was hard, indeed. Though if you ask how to celebrate the anniversary, it is just simple. I remember, during our anniversary we still set a date. If you are together they call that dinner date but since we were apart, we call it chat date..lol . Calling him or vice versa and talking on the phone even for 30minutes is already fine. The important is you both remember your anniversary, show and let other know how you feel for each other. It does not matter if you both apart as long as love is still there.

The last time we celebrated our long distance ceremony that was made extra special by our friends. For example, they send a cake in he form of two semi circles, one half each to me and my husband with he name of both crawled in red on both the parts equally. my mother in law and my father came down specially to wish me. In the evening, we connected on the phone and cut the cake together at 7.30 in the evening. Our friends on both the sides took photographs and we were in tears, not knowing how to repay them. My mmother in law cooked dinner for all of us making it touch my soul and making our anniversary more memorable.

And then there's no computer at home for as you see each other even on webcam.. Well, I just try my best to do something about it.. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experienced with me... When I used to have a boyfriend long distance, he sent me flowers for our anniversary. Duno how he did it but it was quite a surprise hehe then we just went online so that we can chat with each other. we may not be physically together but at least we can still spend time talking. Its a lot better with technology nowadays. I don't know where I got the idea but you can set a table for two with candlelights and all that, maybe video it or use webcam so that you can imagine that you guys are together.

Well if you can then have a live webcam chat. Maybe it could fill up the times you don't see or hear each other. Maybe it's the best nest thing with being that person physically.

Sad to say but i can't go for live webcam chat since we don't have computer at home.. But we were always talking with each other every night and chatting when I'm at the office and if he is not busy.. We always communicate with each other, so communications isn't really hard for us.. I just miss the way that we used to spend when we are together.. Anyway, thanks for sharing.!

My boyfriend and I celebrated our long distance anniversary through video chatting. We just talk as usual and we often greet each other and reminisce our past years together that we can't believe we are on our 5 years and 6 months and still counting anniversary. We've been in a long distance relationship for 2 years and a half even its hard to maintain our relationship because we have ups and downs also, we manage to resolve our problem and rekindle our sweetness in no time. I guess we are used to it already but there's still a time that we wanted to be together and share our love with each other's presence.

Few days from now and it will be our 4th Anniversary, too. But,the 4th year will be our 2nd year of being apart. My boyfriend also works abroad and won't be with me on our 4th year anniversary. Perhaps, I would spend and celebrate that day with my nephews whom I have not seen for so long. I have nothing in mind though how to spend and celebrate it. Am still out of my mind. lol...Perhaps, I could receive a surprise on that day and will be smiling the whole day.

kissie34, Would have planned ahead for both to take our leaves and fly to a holiday destination - Phuket, Thailand (the previous one) and have a whale of a time. Sometimes we need to plan ahead to make things happening for ourselves. Breakaway from the mundanes of a teleconferencing call, afterall, the distance nowadays is irrelevant with the advancement of science and technology. Anyway, happy anniversary.

My boyfriend and I had our second year anniversary few months ago... and it was a long distance celebration, I should say. He wrote me a very long letter... that I never expected it from him. Sweet. Me too, I made a letter for him then he called me up... then we went online then chat till morning. We reminisce the past and future plans... It was simple but indeed a memorable one. I keep looking forward for next year. I hope that he can come home next year... awww... miss him terribly!
