Kids Christmas

What is the better gift to give a kid for Christmas? A toy that will make them happy for a short time? or clothing that might not make them so happy but will be used by them for a long time? Do you get them something they want over something they need?

i will go for toys because toys help children to grow more smart and intelligent . where as cloths can be given on many other occasions but toys are for birthdays and others.
