what's your way of learning a new language?

i am Chinese,and i have been learning English since middle school. i dont stop learning after i finish my school, and im still learning while im working.i dont know any other language except my native tongue and English.i dont think i speak English well.i just wonder how many languages you can speak and how you learn it.i heard that Europeans can speak several languages, how you handle this if you are one of them? so pls tell me your experience learning a new language.i really want to learn English well,or perhaps learn another new language if possible.

I'm glad that you're interested in learning languages.I think that writing on different forums and discussions encourages you to write more and to improve your grammar skills.When you listen to music and watch movies, it becomes easier to speak.For example, I watched original movie "The curse of the Golden flower" without subtitles and English audio track.I wanted to hear how Mandarin sounds.And in the end of the movie I was able to recognize some words though I didn't knew what their meaning was.

i also think that watching original movies can help me improving listening skills.
