Christmas Carols

Come Christmas time all the radio stations start playing carols - I hate this! I am not a scrooge by far I love Christmas time MORE then the next person but I hate listening to the same Christmas songs over and over again. It doesn’t matter what station I turn on there is a Christmas song on! I want to listen to the music I always listen! I don’t mind carols at a holiday gathering or in the stores but really can’t I have a break?
So at work I have been listening to Pandora.com it’s a great free web site that allows you to pick your music by artist or genre. At home I have the music station on TV on and in my car I have been listening to CD’s and realizing I need more CD’s.
So what about you – Do you welcome Christmas Carols to your radio or change the station?? When do you think radio stations should start playing carols – before Thanksgiving, Right after or not till a week or so before Christmas?

There is a shop I go in a couple of times a week and they have been playing christmas songs for the past two or three weeks! I know a few of the girls that work in there and they were saying that the manager is big into christmas and he bought his christmas cd collection in and so that was played non stop all day. I dont mind but after being in there for a bit having a browse around it really starts to grate on my nerves!

I was shopping last night with a friend and while on the way she had the carols on she laughed when I said we are gonna have to listen to these in the store do we have to listen to these now!?! Of course she turned them off... on to the stores it seemed to be the music was LOUDER then usual! What are they doing to me!?!?

Lol, I love to listen to them. However, they should start December 1st and not middle of November or even earlier. It seems each year they start it earlier, and yes, by the time Christmas rolls around I had my fill, too. I think people would be happier, if they would mix it up a little instead of just putting on pure Christmas music.

The station I listen to on a normal basis isn't playing just carols BUT they are having a "Santa Montana" contest where you can win tickets to see Hanna Montana and I can't stand the commercials for it!!!!! They play 3 carols an hour and you have to name the songs and singers to be put in the drawing. But they play the commercial for SANTA MONTANA after EVERY SINGLE song!
Needless to say I am boycotting the staion until after Christmas! LOL
