filling up your gas tank in the morning

have you heard of the concept of filling up your car's gas tank in the morning? early in the morning? because they say that filling your car in the morning means more fuel, because the fuel has not yet expanded because of the day's heat. my husband says that he noticed that our mileage is more if we fill up our tank in the morning. so today, we went out at 5:30 in the morning, just before his 6am duty at the call center. well i hope so. we have been spending quite a lot lately because he started working and has to use the car everyday. and every afternoon after work, his officemates ride with him so the car gets full capacity. so the full load means more use of fuel. and his officemates don't contribute to him. so anyway, it is okay. it is just a little help towards them. hehe we just want to save some money here and there. take care and God bless you1 :-)

Hello spoiled311, I heard of that too. I usually fill up the tank in the morning before I start my journey to the office. In fact, that is the only time, I am not that lazy to get down from the car and fill up the tank I always travel alone and sometimes with my husband. He doesn't like to drive and loves to be the front passenger. As for me, I have no choice as it is quite hard to get a public transport to my office.

I've heard the same thing but haven't ever tested it to see whether or not the claim is accurate. It is thoughtful, kind and generous of both you and your Husband to drive officemates who don't contribute to the expense of the drive. I hope that your kindness and generosity comes back to you tenfold. God bless you and have a wonderful holiday season.

I noticed a difference in it too yesterday. I normally get gas in the afternoon on my way home. Yesterday I got it in the morning. and ten dollars gave me 3/4 of a tank. NOrmally would not do that. So yeah i noticed.
