Do you think it is worth paying extra to a baby sitter.. I remember my neighbour having a babysitter who left as she wanted a hike and now my neightbour is having a hard time finding a new baby sitter. The small kid is left at my place at times.
I personally think it is worth paying more. Most importantly because they take care of the most precious thing in your life.. Your kid...
What say?

If the baby sitter is good and take well care of my kids, then I don't mind paying extra for it. It's really hard to find a good baby sitter in my area, it's always better if I'm able to take care of my baby, but it won't be able to work out that way.

Personally I think that if a baby sitter asked me for a pay rise, I would discuss it with them and find out why they believe they should get more than the originally agreed amount.
But saying that, if the baby sitter is good, you like them and your child likes them, then you should do all you can to keep hold of them (it can be very hard to find someone to trust with your kids in the first place).

I guess at the end of the day it's always worth it to spend a bit more. You want quality people looking after your kids. She may also want to evaluate what her hourly rate is for baby sitters. If it's really low for a teen then she should up the anty not only that but she should see how behaved her child is. If that child is wild and out of hand I myself would ask for a higher rate or I'd leave. If she's leaving the kid at your place is she a single mother? I mean to put the burden on you you may not mind but I can see her becoming dependent on the fact that you'd take care of her child. Perhaps she should look into having relatives look after him or her if she has a night time job. Otherwise i don't know what to say.
Me personally if I know my kid is tough to handle out of courtesy I'd give them a bonus of 15 dollars at the end of the night (they wouldn't know about at least the first time). Usually if you pay better they pay more attention to the small details as well.
