Ok Would Be Car Inventors... Now's Your Chance!

For decades we've been hearing stories about small time inventors who have come up with the 100mpg carburator or the electric car that goes 0-60 in 5 seconds... or better yet, those who have come up with free energy or over unity devices. What has kept all these inventors from being the saviors of all mankind? The evil Big 3 apparently pay thugs to threaten these poor defenseless, yet innovative geniuses... Well folks, now's your chance. The Big 3 are on the ropes and are now unable to threaten you. So what are you waiting for?

I thought the big 3 bought all the patents for that so those inventors couldn't market the products. I doubt that there is much useful stuff for today's world that could be quickly incorporated. But hey, if the big 3 would have looked further into it instead of just stuffing the information into some drawer somewhere or even destroying it... they might be market leaders now instead of at their wits end;)

Patents only last 15 years.... Next excuse! ;~D

Sometimes they last longer. Plus, if you buy the patent and pay of the inventor with a contract not to use it nor spread the info, you are covered. Not an excuse, just common knowledge. Besides, 15 years are a long time, especially technologywise. Much of the invention is obsolete at that point or could be done better. And why on earth would I want to find an excuse for the stupid big 3? What a weird response is that?

I didn't see it as an excuse for the big three, but an excuse for the would be "inventors" who supposedly got squeezed out. Personally, I think it may have happened a few times, but mostly it's just bunk.

I've seen a surge of awesome and efficient technology this past year. Problem is, it costs something to start a company, and it could be a few years before they're able to produce enough cars to sell... Hopefully this doesn't discourage them too much, though. Anything worth doing and all that.

Yes, it does cost money to produce things, but the money is out there, if the inventor truly has a device that would give us what we want. Many people who are rich today were completely broke before their invention or idea became commonplace.

I'm aware of that Para, I was referring to the fact that some people won't have the money to start up right away. There's probably gonna be a delay. And the initial costs may intimidate many of them. Brains don't equal braves all the time, which was why I was saying I hope that they don't get too discouraged. Especially because of all the good they could do and how successful they could end up being. I've been one of the ones to SAY that most of our most successful businesses have started from nothing and often during bad economic times.
