Do penguins really sing?

After watching happy feet,and seeing penguins do their thin on animal planet,i really began to wonder if they really do sing. i have heard of humming birds and stuffs like that, but when u watch these guys closly, it really looks like they sing and dance while walking.

The sounds they make...I wouldn't call singing. It's more of a loud, bellowly squak. It's not melodic or anything, it sounds a lot more they are talking to each other rather then serenading each other. Either way I still think penguins are adorably awkward.

I have never really thought about the noise that penguins make i would imagine they squawk rather than sing, certainly not sing like they do in the movies, but maybe they have their own way who knows,...
