I use to read allot and it seems like anymore I never have any time. I was curious if anyone ever takes the time to just sit down and enjoy a good book.It seems alot of books have been replaced by audiobooks and things like the Amazon Kindle reader.Do you purchase books? What was the last one you read?

I usually have at least one book that I am reading all of the time. When it is nice outside, I have a tendency to read more because I will sit on the balcony outside and read.
The last book I read was "The Courage to be Rich" by Suze Orman. Someone had given it to me. Right now I am reading a book called "Mean Business". It's pretty good, but I am not reading through it nearly as fast.
I usually purchase books at warehouse stores at the Tanger Outlet where they are cheap, or I will buy used books at the library. It seems like if I just check them out, I don't seem to finish them.
After I am finished reading the books I purchase, I usually sell them on eBay.
Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

I love to read, and I consider myself, a fast reader. If I can have uninterrupted time, I can usually finish a regular book within 3-4 hours. Thicker books, like the last Harry Potter took me 8-10 hours straight.
Normally, I would say, I average 2-3 books a week, depending on how hectic my schedule and the length of the books. I would usually read before I go to bed, during my lunch break at work, and whatever free time I have. I prefer books in print, though once in a while I would read an e-book if I cannot get a copy of it in print or if it is not available in print. Add to that I usually finish 1-2 audiobooks a week, that I listened to while driving back and forth to work daily. So that would be a total of 3-5 books a week.
I don't read magazines nor newspapers. I'm on a constant diet of fiction books, and my current addiction is paranormal romance novels. Still my reading taste is pretty eclectic and I would pretty much read anything that I find interesting. At the moment, with money tight, I would usually borrow books from the library. I received buying to books that I really want to collect. And yes, one day, I would want to own a Kindle..but in no hurry to do so.

Hi Celestos, I read almost everyday. Even if I'm busy or tired, I would read before I sleep...or sometimes until I sleep. I don't read heavy stuff, usually fiction of the crime, detective, mystery or horror genre. It helps to relax me. The last book I read was So Like Sleep by Jeremiah Healy. It's a detective story.
