Honestly, I first saw Ted/Stottlemeyer with a moustache on Monk. I saw some of his pics without moustache and I thinks he looks better with a moustache, or at least a few stubbles.

I'm sure his character will grow it back. He just shaved it because he can't have it in a monastery.
